Athletics
D.G.C.S. offers competitive sports beginning at 5th grade for both boys and girls. In the fall, D.G.C.S. currently offers girls' Volleyball and Co-ed Soccer.  Winter sports include Boys' and Girls' Basketball as well as Girls' Cheerleading. Students compete against local schools in each of the previously named sports.

Band
Beginning at 4th grade, students may sign-up to be part of the Downers Grove Christian School Band. Over the course of the year, D.G.C.S offers two bands programs: Beginning Band and Concert Band.  During the year, both the Beginning as well as the Concert Band perform two concerts: Christmas and Spring. In either band, students may purchase their own instrument or rent from the music store that works closely with D.G.C.S.

After School Programs

Christian Youth Theater(CYT)@School

CYT@school is devoted to introducing performing arts to children, one school at a time, by providing a high-quality experience that is educational and enjoyable.  Students in grades 1-8 are able to take part in this after-school program with CYT Staff that is capped by a musical production.

Kids Around the World

This after-school program introduces students to children in other parts of the world.  Students experience a different country each week, learning about their language, tasting their foods, and most importantly learning how they can be praying for children in other countries.

Young Rembrandts

This after-school drawing program is led by trained Young Rembrandt instructors.

Chess Club

This after-school program will allow students of all ages and ability levels to learn the game of chess with professional instructors.
